Day 3: “It changed my life”

PreviousNext

Such a simple phrase, yet it means so much. This idea that we all want to discover the next step to propel us into the outer reaches of a belonging, a status or (ideally) transcendence. We seek these experiences in people, places and things, and when we unearth the diamond in the rough, we are in awe with the world. Signals fly and our pre-frontal cortex explodes, flooding us with dopamine. That is what the true artist does: the artist communicates the incommunicable through their own means and aims to shake your soul blind-sided by a golden apotheosis – a hacking of the mind and soul.

Every moment of every day we make decisions and these are guided by our inner needs to change. This is not just an idea or a belief – it is a diet: a way of life, a string of clues which lead us to the next hidden door. What is this portal? An escape to a new perspective, a new song, a new light – “It changed my life”.
